They took so much away from us that they took away our fear

They took so much away from us that they took away our fear

Alert against the trap of the murderers Uribe and Duque

By Luis Alfonso Mena S: Those who seek to wash the face of the genocidal Uribe regime have already appeared, to mount the farce of an endless and lying "dialogue" that the dictatorship of Iván Duque now speaks of, after murdering more than 40 Colombians , of injuring, torturing, detaining and disappearing thousands of citizens, in countless acts of repression and violation of human rights against the National Strike, which is reaching its tenth day.

Those who speak like this do not read the will of the people in the streets, which every day mobilizes in a massive, peaceful and spontaneous way, and resists with anger and courage against the oligarchy, guilty of violence and social exclusion throughout the history of our country.

Now it turns out that we have to go out to "save" Duque to prevent him from continuing to be "kidnapped" by Uribe, when we all know that he is a faithful errand boy from the Matarife and carries out his infamous orders at face value?

Be careful, gentlemen: the people are in the streets, beyond many leaders, building in the mobilization and protest the agenda of demands, which complements those of the strike that began on November 21, 2019 and interrupted by the confinement of the pandemic in 2020.

It is time not to give in to the dictatorship that is murdering our young people in the streets, and to demand the prosecution of the genocidal Álvaro Uribe, who gave the order to shoot the people in a well-known criminal trine.

It is time for your lackey Iván Duque; his minister of war, Diego Molano; the commander of the Army, the swindler Enrique Zapateiro, and the manipulative director of the Police, Jorge Vargas, answer for the massacre in Colombia.

It is also time that, due to their complicity in the massacres in Cali and Valle del Cauca, the mayor of the city, Jorge Iván Ospina, and the governor of the department, Clara Luz Roldán, respond, who not only have not done anything to protect the people from the brutal repression of the regime, but have appeared to congratulate Duque and Zapateiro for their crimes.

The cowardice and felony of this pair of bureaucrats, the first from the Green Party and the second from the U. Party, will never be forgiven by the people: history will send them to political ostracism.

Already a group of lawyers and human rights defenders from Cali filed a complaint with the Prosecutor's Office against the mayor and the governor for their collusion with the repression in Cali and Valle del Cauca, which leaves at least 30 people murdered and hundreds of injured and detained.

But political responsibility encompasses the entire string of pocket officials of the Uribe dictatorship, such as the “attorney”, Margarita Cabello, and the nefarious “defender” of the People, Carlos Camargo, who in the middle of the massacres went home. of recreation in Anapoima and produced from there a propaganda video full of cynicism.

Both bureaucrats have the constitutional mission of defending the human rights of the population, a function they failed to fulfill, because they were defending the interests of the regime and its scribes.

The "human rights" commissioner, Nancy Gutiérrez, must also respond, who for the only thing that has spoken has been to affirm a barbarity: that those rights will only be recognized to those who "fulfill their duties", referring to not exercising the right protest.

All these officials have done nothing but comply with the orders of the great boss, the butcher Álvaro Uribe Vélez, who is the first person responsible for the State crimes that the dictatorship of his errand boy and his pimps have been committing against the Colombian people, with special emphasis on emphasis against the people of Cali, subjected to brutal repression and who are being charged with their massive peaceful mobilizations in the streets, neighborhoods, avenues and highways against Uribism.

 THE URIBIST HATE AGAINST CALI

Cali is the anti-urban capital of the country, and this largely explains the hatred of the dictatorship against the historically libertarian people of Cali, from the times of Independence to the iconic days of February 26, 1971 and the National Civic Strike of 1977 , in which the youth and the workers offered their lives against foreign interference and the governments of segregating bipartisanship.

They took so much away from us that they took away our fear

On May 2, in Carrera 1 with Calle 62 in Cali, when a candle was held in honor of the victims, the young artist Nicolás Guerrero was assassinated by the police, in a cowardly act that was witnessed by more than one hundred thousand people. who followed a live Facebook broadcast by a brave virtual reporter, who is being persecuted by the regime today.

In Siloé and contiguous neighborhoods in the southwest, its population was attacked for several nights in a row, with power cuts and internet service, and five people were killed by the police, including athletes Kevin Agudelo and Harold Rodríguez.

In the La Luna sector, the Esmad of the police attacked young people who were resisting on the South Eastern Highway one afternoon and night and caused numerous injuries.

Later, the same Public Force set the Hotel La Luna on fire, where it kept an appreciable amount of repression material, a fact that the Uribe propaganda fooled the protesters in a lying manner

In neighboring Yumbo, the stoppage of factory production has been total and continues, as in Cali and the entire department, indefinitely, with a massive presence in the streets, despite the militarization, repression and victims of this. , which has left hundreds injured and one person killed.

Similarly, in Palmira the protest has been prominent and was brutally attacked by the violent forces of the State, so much so that it staged a pitched battle in canyons of the Cali-Palmira straight that left six people injured.

In Buga, more than 60 people were injured by shots fired by state forces from helicopters.

HONOR THE MEMORY OF THE FALLEN

In other departments, cases of human rights violations are counted in piles: in Ibagué, on May 1, the police murdered the young Santiago Murillo, with gunshot wounds.

In Barranquilla, on May 6, another student was murdered with the brutal discharge of a jet of water from a police tank, which caused irreparable brain damage.

But perhaps one of the cases that has most shocked Colombians has been that of Lucas Villa, an artist, a man of peace, a student at the Technological University of Pereira, vilely murdered on May 5, by individuals who were mobilizing in an armored car and fired at a peaceful demonstration that was taking place on the Viaduct that connects the capital of Risaralda with Dosquebradas

The event occurred days after the mayor of Pereira called on unions, the private sector and citizens to "unite" against the participants in the strike.

The cases of torture, detentions, disappearances, beatings, gassed communities and shot and attacked multiply by thousands.

In honor of all the fallen and victims of official violence, the people in the streets say no to the tricky "dialogue" proposed by Uribism and demand solutions without delay.

As we have said, unemployment on the move has been defining its own national, regional and local agendas, which can be summarized as follows:

 DEMANDS OF THE MOBILIZED PEOPLE

1.- Punishment for those responsible for the massacre against the Colombian people, starting with the head of the regime, Iván Duque, his minister of war, Diego Molano, and the mayors and governors who are accomplices.

2.- Punishment of the “defender” of the People, Carlos Camargo, and the attorney, Margarita Cabello, and other bureaucrats of the Public Ministry, as well as the municipal officials who have breached their duty to protect the human rights of the population.

3 - To effectively comply with the withdrawal of the tax reform project that is being processed in Congress.

4.- Revocation of the 2019 tax reform.

5.- Stop the bill that makes the health system in Colombia even more precarious and is currently being processed in Congress.

6.- Punishment for those responsible for State crimes, massacres and murders of social leaders, human rights defenders and signatories of the Peace Agreement.

7.- Rejection of the alleged reform of the Government against the pension rights of Colombians.

8.- Rejection of the alleged reform that would radicalize the neoliberal labor system in the country.

9.- Basic income, payroll subsidy for the people, in order to cope with the pandemic.

10.- Universal vaccination against covid-19.

11.- Measures against corruption, which usurps 50 billion pesos a year.

12.- Compliance with the Peace Agreement, especially with regard to land.

13.- Compliance with regional and local agreements dammed from previous years, especially those that were pending after the National Strike of November 21, 2019.

This Friday, May 7, we arrived at the tenth day of the National Strike. The people empowered in popular assemblies, in the streets, squares and highways continues to demand solutions, starting with the trial of those responsible for massacring the people in the streets.

 Cali, Thursday, May 6, 2021.
