The Government shoots at its people, neither believes in rights, nor does it believe in humans (THEY ARE KILLING US)

The Government shoots at its people, neither believes in rights, nor does it believe in humans

By Manuel Humberto Restrepo Domínguez: The violence by the state in the framework of the national mobilization that has had millions of people in the streets for 30 days, indicates the thesis that the Government declared war on its people. In his strategy to win it, he is combining all forms of fighting. The people were invented as an enemy and they unleashed their fury. Politically he stigmatizes, censors and vetoes his adversaries; the media controls the information matrix to distort and change the notion of what is happening; militarily, the armed forces shoot at unarmed civilians whom they treat as enemy combatants, following the doctrine of the internal enemy and sometimes assuming the form of the SS. Diplomatically, it obstructs, averts its gaze, replies and seeks a chorus of the holocaust denial in motion, impartiality is also its enemy; socially it installs deceptions and delays to divide the population and even uses contagion figures to its advantage; financially intimidates, accuses, attacks and wrongly defines blockades as acts of terror.

The Government has used its power to destroy the legitimacy of the national movement against it, it is aware that peaceful protest is unstoppable because it is fair, autonomous and popular, and it fears not having effective material responses. People do not want norms, laws, decrees, or advertisements, they demand guarantees for overcoming serious deficiencies and needs that affect the life cycle of any human being, but they also evoke changes in structures that prevent living with dignity, with a political existence. The Government and the party in power perhaps did not expect that their actions would trigger a tragedy so relevant to their charge, in their arrogance they were convinced that everything they did for their people, in defense of the homeland, they never thought that everything would end in the horror they provoked, their interest in power cannot separate it from their obsession with power.

Officially, the same institutions controlled by the ruling party announce that poverty is rapidly increasing, that those who ate three times a day now only eat twice and that several million in misery do not have insurance for a single bite. They report that malnutrition increases and causes deaths and that the local political corruption system of elites and businessmen steal the budget for school meals. They also indicate that due to the lack of drinking water, lives are lost and that the creator of the tax reform, already defeated, is involved in the disaster. There is no youth employment; school dropout grows; informality is a daily search; retirements are at risk social security is no longer even a dream. For old people there are no policies. The selective assassinations of defenders and social leaders continues in its genocidal advance. The indicators ratify that what is growing without stopping are the fortunes of 1% of the population, "the good people", pure, those who march and denounce that the blockade is a crime that offends them.

The disaster figures establish the responsibility of the Government for the systematic violations of the insurmountable core of rights (no murder, no torture, no offense to dignity) understood as jus-cogens, which make it very clear who gives the order, who must respond, who sends the Einsatzgruppe (the orders) executed by the Einsatzkommandos under the command of high command, convinced that by complying with the order of the furher they are complying with the constitution and being out of trial for their crime.

                                       THEY ARE KILLING US

All the energy expended to delegitimize would have served to consolidate the rule of law and save lives, infrastructure and political polarization. The government party and its associates strive to show that they are only interested in winning the war, hence when it seems to be over, they become distressed and do the impossible to reestablish it, proclaim it, execute it, without it that power ceases to exist. Hitler never gave up on continuing the war even knowing that he had lost it, in his obsession to exterminate every last Jew, he hastened the slaughter and then shot at his people, whom he swore to love.

The president and his government do not act as if they had one year of government left, but one year of war and a hundred more to consolidate their empire. They do not seem to care that there is bleeding, pain and rage, their indolence prevents them from seeing that the cities that seemed like a dream lose their charm, nor that the world looks at and treats the country with suspicion and that Latin America is ashamed of its bad neighbor. What happens in the present leaves indelible marks, defeats hope, breaks trust. The synthesis portrays human misery with soldiers and police shooting their people and the elites at a banquet toasting with blood.

To the world-class cities, governments again invite not to visit them due to the brutality, violence and frivolity of the Government. Majestic buildings are burning, subway buses on fire, girls dragged to the humiliations that police posts have become, armored men like snipers aiming at the eyes and at the chest with smiles alight, thugs dressed in white shooting on hunting nights against indigenous people. Peasants, workers and young people, in the style of the Ku-kus-clan, parade during the day (they do not march) so that their fortune circulates, never so that the food reaches the hungry. Motorcyclists shooting like SS or mafia hitmen, it doesn't matter, paramilitaries at the service of order. Each one does their dirty work with loyalty to the furher.

Midwife mothers from the “front line” protect their children from those who have sworn in to care for their lives and rights. Senior officials who lie before the cameras to receive their secure decoration, ministers and foreign ministers blinded for blaming someone who justifies continuing the war, journalists who stand on "pique houses" in which human beings are dismembered alive for their struggles, point out their cameras and microphones to show the alleged "cannibalism of some chicks" victims of the blockade pecking at others. The fields were destroyed by barbarism, the cities are not yet in ruins, but they are semi-destroyed by economic and social inequality driven by policies of privatization and oblivion that have long blocked a dignified life and want to maintain the custom of obedience and without even the right to claim rights and if the passing generation did not notice it, the young people did, they are the main actor.
